The City
Borås is Sweden’s second largest city. Located approximately 60 km east of Gothenburg, with a population of around 113,000. The city centre is vibrant with plenty of shops, cafés, and restaurants. Everything you need is within walking distance. If you prefer the countryside, you’re in luck. After a short bus or cycle ride from the city centre, you will find forests, lakes and large areas of farmland. In short, it can be said that Borås is an ideal place to live and study
The University
At the University of Borås, learning, knowledge, and innovation are created in an inspiring study environment. Located right in the city centre, the university’s campus spreads out from Akademiplatsen. Here, students, teachers, researchers, as well as business and industry from different fields meet. In addition to lecture halls, restaurants and cafés, the campus also hosts one of the country’s best libraries and the Textile Fashion Center, an arena for the textile industry of the future and a natural home for the Swedish School of Textiles. The campus is not only a place to meet, but also a driving pulse for both students and the city’s residents!
