The City
Kraków is the second largest city in Poland and the former capital of Poland. It is located in the south near to the Karpaty mountains. It is an important business and university centre, boasting 23 higher education units (including 12 universities) and over 130 thousand students. The University
The Jagiellonian University is the oldest higher education institution in Poland and one of the oldest in Europe. It was founded on 12 May 1364 by the Polish king Casimir the Great. The Faculty of Management and Social Communication at the Jagiellonian University was founded in 1996. It is one of the biggest faculties of the JU in terms of student numbers and offers programmes in: Economics, Management, Finance, Accounting, Psychology, Journalism, Public management. The Faculty of Management and Social Communication is located on the modern Campus of the 600th Anniversary of the Jagiellonian University Revival.
