The City
Situated at the heart of the Po Valley, Piacenza is only 65 km away from Milan and 150 km from Bologna. It lies on the border between Lombardy and Piedmont, two of the most industrialized regions in the north, at an important logistic hub for road and rail transport, both national and international. Moreover, Piacenza is one of the cities of art of the region Emilia-Romagna, with its palaces, churches and museums.
The University
Founded in Milan in 1921, Università Cattolica is the only Italian university that boasts a national dimension with its five campuses: Milan, Brescia, Cremona, Piacenza and Rome. Piacenza Campus is located in the heart of the Italian agri-food system, an area characterised by cultural and productive liveliness.
